In Groups & Chat there are public and private groups with subgroups. You can discover, join, create and leave groups and chat live. An unread counter shows new messages.

There's no roadmap in chatFlow. You send wishes and ideas in the ‘Settings’ tab under ‘Feedback & Community’.

chatFlow has achievements that you unlock by using it. When you unlock one, there's a short banner and a sound. You open the section in the profile.

You earn experience (XP) by unlocking achievements, and that's how you level up. Dictating deliberately gives no XP. Paid months and invitations give neither XP nor free days.

Voice-Clone Studio, Voice-Memo Studio, sound library, Agency Dashboard and profile are standalone windows, not tabs — the main window stays open next to them and keeps its content. When you close a window, whatever was running locally in it stops: playback, checks, local processing. A paid cloud job that has already started keeps running, and the finished result is kept for you. A training keeps running in the cloud even if chatFlow is closed completely.

On the right of the tab row are arrows for undo and redo. They work in Styling, Dictionary, Info and Spark; in Spark they bring back deleted moments, example lines as well as chat and style profiles, until the app is quit. In History, you can only go back one step. If Flo has just switched a text rule or hidden tabs, tell him ‘undo’ — that reverts Flo's last change. ‘Undo all’ shows all hidden tabs and text rules again.

Flo is the built-in assistant in the search bar (“Ask Flo”). Flo answers questions about the app, shows you the right tab on request and can switch text rules for you. Sometimes Flo also speaks up on his own with a short question or a tip.

You turn off Flo's own messages with Flo himself: write him ‘stop checking in’ and confirm. With ‘start checking in again’ he comes back. He always answers your questions. In the ‘General’ tab, at the very bottom under ‘Flo & hints’, you can bring back dismissed hints and warnings (‘Show all again’) and set whether error reports are sent automatically.

chatFlow plays small sounds for certain actions: when closing windows, for popups, when Flo speaks up or has finished something, when opening the purchase window and when credits are added. There's a separate sound when quitting.

Local models send nothing out — your audio stays on the device. If you use a cloud feature, exactly what's necessary is transmitted (e.g. the audio for transcription). The history is stored encrypted, and the recording file of a dictation is deleted after transcription. The saved texts of the typing suggestions stay on your computer. Only if you have them checked while the comma check is turned on do the checked sentences go to the chatFlow cloud. That costs credits and requires sign-in.
